Implementation
Octavia consultants are highly experienced, have been doing what they do for many years, and have a wealth of experience working with similar organisations within the social housing and Supporting People sectors.
They are able to share with you:
- expert advice
- operational recommendations
- best practices and methods
Consultancy services are provided throughout both the scope of the implementation and life of the system.
Octavia’s approach ensures that the software solution provided meets its customers’ overall needs and demands.
As part of the implementation phase a range of training is provided to the staff who will use the software; guaranteeing that maximum benefit is quickly achieved when the implementation period is complete.
Development
As a result of listening to our user requirements, and keeping abreast of legislative changes, Octavia continues to develop and enhance OSKA to provide the additional functionality to meet the changing business needs of its customers.
In addition, Octavia’s innovative team of developers are always looking for ways that new technology can be incorporated into the software to keep it at the cutting edge.
Through continual investment in developing the software it constantly serves its purpose; whilst being incredibly user friendly, great to look at and good to work with.
With Octavia a customer can pick up the phone and speak to the person responsible for developing the software. This makes it much easier to describe a problem and get a direct answer; or to suggest a new feature.
Project Management
Octavia believe in forming close relationships with its customers. This begins during the implementation phase when a Project Manager is assigned to manage the project, providing a single point of contact, and is responsible for guiding and working with the customer through system installation, implementation and training.
So it is clear what will happen, and when, a plan is discussed and agreed at the outset which outlines all aspects of the project including responsibilities, timescales and milestones.
Workshops
A series or workshops are delivered during the implementation phase which help fully understand OSKA’s capabilities and enable decisions to be made that ensure the software is implemented to satisfy all the organisation’s requirements.
Octavia’s consultants have a wealth of experience they can share; including ‘best practices’, how other customers use the software and can make you aware of the ‘pitfalls’ before you start.
Our workshops build a solid foundation for an on-time, within budget, and quality implementation.
Training
Octavia’s software is extremely easy to use and whilst training is not essential it is recommended that users attend a training course in order to understand the extensive features available.
For best results Octavia provide training on its software as part of the implementation project and recommends users attend an advanced training course once the system has been in use for several months. By this time users will know how to use the software and will have an opportunity to ask questions based on their real life experiences.
In addition training can be provided for new members of staff to get them familiar with, and up and running, using the system in a very short space of time.
Training courses are delivered by consultants with years of experience, who are able to discuss real life scenarios, provide examples from their own experiences and provide thought-provoking practical exercises.
With a maximum number of six delegates on a training course attendees can be confident that they will receive the appropriate level of individual tuition and have the opportunity to ask questions and therefore gain a thorough understanding of all areas covered.
For organisations who would like training on specific topics Octavia’s standard training courses can be tailored to meet specific business needs.
